LE BARUTI
The house was completely restructured during 2007/08 under the motto "small but fine" considering biological principles and in traditional Tuscan style with terracotta tile flooring and wooden beams as well as equipped with today's amenities. The custom made windows are from chestnut wood, as they were made in the ancient times, but with todays thermal resistance.
Not only when we restructured the house natural environment and climate were important to us.
We care of sustainable consumption of electricity with equipment of the latest technology. Our central heating system runs with our own wood and the laundry is being washed in our house and dried outside by the sun.
We have planted our garden in "wild yet romantic" style. Among fig and apricot trees our drive way is lined with a range of floral colors from white, pink and dark red oleander plants, blue and violet hydrangeas and different colored roses. On the site there are approx. 250 olive trees, wild cherry trees and broom plants spreading in spring their yellow color. As natural defense from mosquitoes the pool is lined with lavender, geraniums and rosemary plants.
